Privacy Policy

MIYAJI ENGINEERING GROUP, INC. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and related laws and regulations concerning the handling of personal information by the Company, and has established the following basic policy concerning the protection of personal information (hereinafter referred to as the “Privacy Policy”) and will strive to handle such information appropriately.

  1. Acquisition of Personal Information

    When acquiring personal information, the Company shall clarify the purpose of use and use legal and appropriate means to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use.

  2. Use of Personal Information

    The Company shall use personal information obtained in the course of our business activities to the extent that does not deviate from the purposes of use of the personal information. (Refer to “Purpose of Use of Personal Information” below for more details.)

  3. Restrictions on Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

    The Company shall not provide or disclose personal information on customers, etc. to third parties other than subcontractors without the prior consent of the individual concerned; provided, however, that the Company may provide personal information to third parties without obtaining prior consent from the individual concerned in the following cases:

    1. When complying with laws and regulations
    2. When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person
    3. When necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children
    4. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government organization, a local government, or an individual or person entrusted by either a national government organization or local government in the performance of administrative tasks set forth in laws and regulations
  4. Shared Use of Personal Information

    The Company may share use of personal information with MIYAJI ENGINEERING GROUP companies within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use of personal information described below. (Refer to “Shared Use of Personal Information” below for more details.)

  5. Appropriate Management of Personal Information

    The Company shall take necessary and appropriate security control measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage to personal information held by the Company, and shall strive to improve such measures.

  6. Supervision of Contractors

    When outsourcing operations, including the handling of personal information, to a third party, the Company shall appropriately supervise the contractor.

  7. Disclosure, Correction, and Suspension of Use of Personal Information

    Upon receiving a request for disclosure, correction, suspension of use, deletion, etc. of personal information held by the Company, the Company shall respond to the request to the extent necessary after confirming that the person making the request is the individual concerned or his or her representative. Fees may be charged for such requests.

  8. Changes to the Privacy Policy

    1. The content of the Privacy Policy may be revised as necessary.
    2. Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.

Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The Company shall use the personal information we acquire only to the extent necessary for the performance of our business in light of the business purposes specified in our Articles of Incorporation (listed below). The purposes of use of personal information are as follows:

  1. To formulate and manage the Group’s management strategies
  2. To perform stock-related tasks
  3. To provide information and services to shareholders
  4. To perform tasks related to the execution, performance, and termination of contracts with business partners, etc.
  5. To respond to inquiries and requests from customers, business partners, etc.
  6. To perform tasks related to human resources and labor management for officers, employees, and former officers and employees
  7. To perform other tasks incidental to items 1. to 6. above

The Company may share personal information on our customers, etc. as follows.

    • To perform tasks related to construction work, products sold, etc. by Group Companies
    • To perform tasks related to human resources and labor affairs for Group Companies
    • To perform tasks related to the operation of meetings organized by Group Companies
    • To send Group Companies’ publications
    • To respond to inquiries, requests for information materials, and other requests, etc.
  3. Items of Personal Information to be Shared

    Customer’s name, address, telephone number, fax, e-mail address, and the name and address of the customer’s company or office, the department the customer belongs, title, telephone number, fax, e-mail address, qualifications obtained, and employment history

Business Purposes Specified in our Articles of Incorporation

  1. The purpose of the Company, as a holding company, shall be to control and manage the business activities of companies engaged in the following activities by owning shares in such companies:

    1. Design, manufacture, erection and installation of bridges, steel frames, steel towers, steel tanks, steel pipes, sluice gates and other steel structures, and the sale of such steel structures
    2. Investigations, research, planning, and consulting related to the steel structures referred to in the preceding item
    3. Surveys, inspections, and diagnosis of existing steel structures, planning and design of repair/reinforcement works thereof, and the manufacture and erection of components related to such works
    4. Design, construction, and construction management of building construction works, civil engineering works, prestressed concrete works, and landscaping works
    5. Design, manufacture, sale, loan, and installation of cranes, erection equipment, transportation equipment, and temporary bridges
    6. Design, manufacture, and assembly of aerial cableways
    7. Sale of materials and machinery for civil engineering construction
    8. Purchase and sale, lease, mediation, and management of real property
    9. Business related to power generation using renewable energy sources, the management and operation thereof, and operations relating to the supply and sale of electricity
    10. Computation processing and information processing using computers, and the development and sale of computer software
    11. Worker dispatch services
    12. Duplicating and binding of drawings, design documents, etc.
    13. Maintenance, inspection, and cleaning of factories and buildings
    14. Building security and traffic guidance and security at construction sites
    15. Sale of office supplies, stationery, and books
    16. Non-life insurance agency business and business related to the solicitation of life insurance
    17. Travel information agency services
  2. In addition to the purposes described above, the Company shall engage in the following activities:

    1. Money loans, guarantees, and other financial services
    2. Purchase and sale, lease, mediation, and management of real property
    3. General leasing business
    4. Acquisition, transfer, or lease of industrial property rights
    5. Investments in other companies deemed necessary for management purposes
    6. Any and all business incidental to each of the preceding items (1) to (5)
